Laboratoire Biophysique et Evolution

UMR 8231 CBI
The Laboratory of Biophysics and Evolution (LBE) studies major evolutionary transitions, from the origins of life to the emergence of multicellularity. Our research themes integrate experimental evolution and ecology, microbiology, genetics, biophysics. These questions also lead us to develop technologies in microfluidics and millifluidics, in collaboration with other teams of the unit, in order to create controlled environments and screen diversity from molecules to cell colonies.
